The Changing Face of Training
I first became a training manager back in the late 90’s in the banking and finance sector. Every course we ran was 3 or 4 days long and residential. The residential bit was compulsory, even if you only lived round the corner. It was great to get everyone away from their normal place of work and allow learning and team building to take place in an unrushed environment. I can’t remember the last residential course I ran, must be over 15 years ago. 4 day programmes spread over a few weeks or months and onsite became the norm until the pandemic hit. It’s amazing what we can do when we are pushed and training in the virtual space became common place, in fact, many of our clients have retained this as their learning and development strategy as they can bring team members together to train from across their global community and embrace the hybrid working model. Time and budgets have become such precious resources, travel is cut to a minimum to reduce the impact on the environment. We are now training bitesize, short sharp and effective. My training self of 25 years ago would not recognise the world in which I now operate. Our recorded masterclasses are the latest innovation in our drive to offer training in as accessible a way as possible. Why not check out the link below. Currently Free!!
