ILM Level Five Certificate in Leadership and Management
We have partnered with Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Brook Corporate Developments Ltd to deliver the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level Five Certificate in Leadership and Management – a course that is an excellent opportunity for current and aspiring senior leaders to develop core strategic management knowledge and skills and transfer them directly into practise in the workplace.
This highly interactive programme provides participants with the opportunity to work with others in similar situations to share understanding and best practise and to identify improved working strategies.
Programme Structure
- Participants will attend 6 training workshops over a 7 month period
- The sessions will run from 9.30 – 4.00 with breaks and small break out groups

Session 1 – Organisation Strategy & Managers Role
Session 2 – Leadership Styles
Session 3 – Interpersonal skills, communication and emotional intelligence
Session 4 – Managing performance and contribution to deliver departmental strategy
Session 5 – The Managers role in leading innovation and change
Session 6 – Implementing change and continuous professional development in the leadership role
Assessment
Candidates will be assessed via the completion of 3 assessment projects on the following
topics.
- Understanding the management role to improve management performance
- Assessing your own leadership capability and performance
- Leading Innovation and change
