ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management 

Overview
This ILM accredited qualification is an excellent opportunity for current and aspiring senior leaders to develop core strategic management knowledge and skills and transfer them directly into practise in the workplace. The level 5 certificate is an ideal vehicle for departmental heads and practising middle managers to improve departmental performance and prepare for more senior management responsibilities.

This highly interactive programme provides participants with the opportunity to work with others in similar situations to share understanding and best practise and to identify improved working strategies.

Programme Structure

• Participants will attend 6 training workshops over a 7 month period
• The sessions will run from 9.30 – 4.00

• Apply impactful leadership that motivates others and builds commitment
• Implement effective communication strategies
• Become best self in a management role

Session 1 – Organisation Strategy & The Managers Role – 23rd May (if you can’t make this date, you can join on session 2)

Session 2 – Leadership Styles – 20th June

Session 3 – Interpersonal skills, communication and emotional intelligence – 18th July

Session 4 – Managing performance and contribution to deliver departmental strategy – 12th September

Session 5 – The Managers role in leading innovation and change – 10th October

Session 6 – Implementing change and continuous professional development in the leadership role – 7th November

Assessment
Candidates will be assessed via the completion of 3 assessment projects on the following
topics.

• Understanding the management role to improve management performance
• Assessing your own leadership capability and performance
• Leading Innovation and change
