A 4 day course designed to provide you with the understanding, skills and confidence to use AI effectively and to increase your employability in today’s fast moving work environment.
This programme is accredited and through the completion of 2 work-based assignments, it will lead to the achievement of an internationally recognised Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management
Programme Content
Day 1 – Introduction to and Use of AI to Deliver Business Improvement
- The AI revolution
- AI literacy and developing transferable skills
- Career-ready AI skills: hands-on experience with AI tools to automate tasks
- Master structured prompting to efficiently interact with AI
- AI for entrepreneurship: explore how AI can support veteran-led startups
- Ethical AI practises
- Practical exercises: build real-world AI projects (e.g. coding a game, creating presentations) to showcase skills to employers.
Day 2 – Planning Change
- Investigating key factors that will require organisations to change the way they work and embrace smarter working and AI
- Identifying potential changes that may be required to deliver business / organisational sustainability & growth through use of AI automation
- The psychology of change and why people might be resistant to using new technologies
- Managing people through change
- Benefits & challenges of implementing changes to working processes
- Planning the communication & implementation of the change.
Day 3 – How Recruitment and Selection Works in the Civilian Sector
- Policies & procedures that relate to recruitment in different sectors
- Understanding job descriptions and person specification and how they relate to a job application
- How equality & diversity underpins recruitment processes
- Suitable recruitment processes to identify the best candidate
- Shortlisting for jobs
- Interview questions and preparation
Day 4 – Employability
- Mapping personal skills, competencies and experience
- Using AI to identify suitable roles and industry sectors
- Creating a CV / job application to match a role specification
- Interview preparation
- Interview skills to sell yourself
- Presentation skills as part of an interview process
The course will give you the edge over the competition and enable you to clearly demonstrate that you will be able to immediately make a difference in the role.
